Welcome to the IP! Located at 643 Magazine Street, The IP stands for Intellectual Property and is an 85,000 square foot building that is the current home for a collection of vibrant, entrepreneurial companies. The building, designed to house innovative organizations and bring them together in a collaborative environment, is already home to some of the region’s most forward-thinking businesses including, Carrollton Technology Partners, Couhig Partners, 504ward, iSeatz, The Idea Village, Launch Pad, Turbo Squid, Ebbert & Associates and playNOLA. These companies epitomize the groundswell of entrepreneurship that is taking root in New Orleans.
Members of The IP are treated to a concierge desk, operated by The Idea Village, a gym, and a cafe. Other amenities include dog-friendly accommodations and a white board “Brainstorm Room” that inspires people to think outside the usual realm of business.
It is a primary focus of the IP to bring together the whole building as one to insure a collaborative, community spirit. Community building events include lunchtime speakers from community leaders, a small candy shop, a daily supply of PJs coffee, and the occasional happy hour. All of this is geared toward promoting a bond amongst fellow entrepreneurs and the greater New Orleans community.
